ようこそ、グレースシティチャーチ東京へ!

このホームページをご覧くださり、ありがとうございます！

東京には多くの人が暮らし、働き、学び、それぞれの人生を歩んでいます。その中で、孤独や不安、疲れを抱えながら日々を過ごしている人も少なくありません。私たちは、教会とは立派な人が集まる場所ではなく、神の恵みを必要とする人々が共に歩む場所だと信じています。

私自身もこれまでの人生や牧会の中で、自分の限界や弱さに向き合いながら、神の憐れみと多くの人々の支えによって導かれてきました。だからこそ、グレースシティチャーチ東京は、「安心して神を求められる場所」でありたいと願っています。

信仰を持っている人も、そうでない人も。聖書をよく知っている人も、初めて教会を訪れる人も。疑問や葛藤を抱えている人も。どうぞ安心してお越しください。
私たちは人を裁くためではなく、イエス・キリストの福音を共に知り、その恵みに生かされるために集まっています。

東京という大都市の中で、神とつながり、人とつながり、共に癒され、共に成長していく。そんな共同体を皆さんと共に育んでいきたいと願っています。

Welcome to Grace City Church Tokyo!

Thanks so much for visiting our site!

In Tokyo, many people live, work, and study, each walking their own path in life. Many are dealing with loneliness, anxiety, and exhaustion. We believe that a church is not a place for admirable or accomplished people to gather, but a place where those who need God’s grace can walk together.

In my own life and in my pastoral work, I have faced my own limits and weaknesses, and have been guided by God’s mercy and the support of many people. Because of this, I want Grace City Church Tokyo to be a place where people can seek God with peace of mind.

Whether you have faith or not, whether you know the Bible well or are visiting a church for the first time, whether or not you are carrying doubts or inner struggles, please feel free to come as you are.
We do not gather to judge people, but to come to know the gospel of Jesus Christ together and to live by that grace.

In the great city of Tokyo, we hope to build a community together with you where we are connected to God, connected to one another, heal together, and grow together.

広島生まれ、香川育ち。幼い頃から教会に親しみ、青年期に神の召しを受けて牧師を志す。
東京基督神学校（Master of Divinity）を卒業後、千葉、大阪、東京などで牧会に従事。東日本大震災後の東北での奉仕を含め、さまざまな人々と歩みながら福音を伝えてきた。
現在はグレースシティチャーチ東京の主任牧師として、東京という世界有数の大都市において、聖書の福音を現代人の現実や問いに結びつけながら語ること、また、歴史的キリスト教信仰に立ち、神の恵み、福音による希望、人の回復、健全な共同体形成を大切にしている。宣教師、長老、リーダーたちと協働して、「共に癒され、共に成長する教会」を目指している。
趣味：散歩、読書、旅、人との対話。

Daisuke was born in Hiroshima and raised in Kagawa. He grew up around the church, and during his youth sensed a calling from God that led him to pursue pastoral ministry.
After graduating from Tokyo Christian Theological Seminary (M. Div.), he ministered in Chiba, Osaka, and Tokyo. He also served in the Tohoku region following the Great East Japan Earthquake, walking alongside people from many different backgrounds while sharing the message of the gospel.
Today, Daisuke serves as the senior pastor of Grace City Church Tokyo. In one of the world’s leading cities, he seeks to communicate the message of the Bible in a way that speaks meaningfully to the realities and questions people face today. Grounded in historic Christian faith, he places importance on God’s grace, the hope found in the gospel, personal restoration, and building healthy, life-giving communities. Together with missionaries, elders, and ministry leaders, he is working toward a vision of fostering “a church where we are healed together and grow together.”
His hobbies include walking, reading, traveling, and meaningful conversation.

オルガニスト。コミュニティーアーツ東京のディレクター。グレースシティーチャーチ東京の「フェイス＆アート（信仰と芸術）」のディレクター。宣教師として活動する芸術家のグローバルネットワーク「The MAKE Collective」のディレクター。アメリカのジュリアード音楽院にてパイプオルガン演奏修士、コロンビア大学にてエンジニアリング応用物理学学士を取得。現在リフォームド神学校修士課程で学んでいる。五枚のアルバムをリリースし、コンクール受賞も多数。『恵みの味』（2024）、『美の香り』（2022）、『砕かれた葉』（2021）、『ピアノのピッピーと黒い波』（2020）。2005年に来日し、現在家族と共に東京の月島に在住。登山、マラソンが趣味で各国へ出かけている。www.rogerwlowther.com

He lives in Chiba with his wife and 4 daughters and runs James Wright Design and Development Studios.

福島県会津若松にある城跡近くで生まれ、育ちました。これまで、日本長老教会の教会で30年間、御言葉の養育とセルグループによって仕えて来ました。
2026年3月に退職して、グレースシティチャーチ東京のスタッフに加わることになりました。人々が御言葉によって生かされるために仕えたいと願っています。
趣味は、折り紙を通して人と関わること、歴史に関することです。
Watanabe sensei was born and raised in Fukushima Prefecture, near the castle ruins in Aizuwakamatsu. He served at a PCJ church for 30 years, raising people up in God’s Word and leading small groups. He retired from that role in March of 2026 and joined the staff of Grace City Church Tokyo, desiring to serve so that people can receive life through the Word. His hobbies include connecting with people through origami and studying history.

1986年からセンド国際宣教団の宣教師として来日し、5年後息子を授かる（息子は現在日本で就職）
これまでに横浜の教会の立ち上げ、立川の教会の手伝い、東日本大震災後は東北での教会開拓などに携わる。
日本の教会リーダーを励まし、支える事をパッションとしている（特にグレースシティチャーチ！！）
趣味: テニス　東久留米の自宅近くの銭湯に行ってお風呂に入ること
Joel hails from Kansas, met his wife Elaine in Bible college and came to Japan as missionaries with SEND International in 1986. Their son was born five years later and now lives and works in Japan. They started a church in Yokohama, assisted a church in Tachikawa and helped in a church plant in Tohoku after 3,11,11. Joel’s passion is to encourage and support Japanese church leaders, especially now at Grace City. He enjoys tennis and relaxes in the ofuros in Higashi Kurume, where they live.

From the US, Zak first visited Japan at age 16, and after 2 more trips over the years, he made the move to Japan in 2024, joining the Community Arts Tokyo mission team and Grace City Church Tokyo staff full time.

His hobby is seeing live music.

Born in New York, raised in Delaware, Andrew currently lives in Chiba with his wife, Megan, and five kids. They are part of the Community Arts Team. Andrew and Megan first met in a Japanese film class, and they both have a passion for missions.
Andrew's hobbies are various, but generally include interesting arts and exploring.
