MATT MURTON PROFILE
2010年から2015年まで阪神タイガースで活躍し、全国でファンから愛されている。2010年の新人シーズンには214安打を記録し、イチローのシーズン安打記録を更新して、 日本野球機構（NPB）の伝説となった。マットはタイガースでの6シーズンで通算1,020安打、打率.310を記録し、4度のオールスター選出、4度のベストナイン受賞、2014年にはセントラルリーグ首位打者に輝いた。また、来日前は、ボストン・レッドソックスに入団してプレーをしていた。メジャーリーグ（MLB）デビューはシカゴ・カブス移籍後。
Matt Murton played for the Hanshin Tigers from 2010 to 2015 and was beloved by fans across Japan. In his rookie season in 2010, he recorded 214 hits, breaking Ichiro’s single-season hit record and becoming a legend in Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB). Over six seasons with the Tigers, Matt totaled 1,020 hits with a .310 batting average, was selected to the All-Star team four times, earned four Best Nine Awards, and won the Central League batting title in 2014. Before coming to Japan, he had signed and played with the Boston Red Sox and made his Major League Baseball (MLB) debut after transferring to the Chicago Cubs.

科学と宗教 | Talk: Science & Religion
「科学と信仰は矛盾するのか？—聖書と科学の対話をめぐって」
スノーク教授は、アメリカ・ピッツバーグ大学の物理学者であり、半導体や量子物理の分野で世界的に知られる研究者です。
同時に、キリスト教信仰と科学の関係について深い関心を持ち、「聖書と科学はどのように調和するのか」というテーマで多くの講演や著作を行っています。
著書に『A Biblical Case for an Old Earth（古い地球を聖書的に理解する）』があり、キリスト教科学協会の会長も務めました。
本講演では、進化論や宇宙の始まり、科学的方法と聖書的信仰の関係など、現代人が抱く根本的な問いに対して、
科学者として、またクリスチャンとしての立場から分かりやすく語っていただきます。
ぜひ関心をお持ちの方々にご案内いただくとともに、ノンクリスチャンのご友人もお誘いあわせのうえご参加ください。

The Overlap of Science and Religion
Join us for a talk by Professor David Snoke, where he posits that “science and religion don't exist in two different worlds.”
”We often think of science as lying in the ‘real world,’ while religion lies in the world of myth. But there are many scientific questions that directly relate to religious questions, such as fine tuning of cosmology and biology, the question of consciousness, and archeological studies of events in the Bible. “
In this talk, David Snoke will discuss some of these topics, and argue for a rational approach to religion, instead of introducing mysticism into science.

David Snoke is Distinguished Professor of Physics at the University of Pittsburgh, and co-director of the Pittsburgh Quantum Institute. He is also the president of the Christian Scientific Society and has frequently written and spoken on science and religion issues.

教会の礼拝後、Flayhart夫妻が一緒にインタビューを行い、その後、聖書や信仰生活などについて話し合う男性グループと女性グループのディスカッションをリードします。
After church, Bob and Laurie Flayhart will do an interview together, after which they will lead men’s and women’s discussion groups to talk about the Bible, our faith lives, etc.
